Seafood—Monkey-shrimps
Monkey-shrimps—a real Lugang special, are best served during the winter until February of the following year. Monkey-shrimps look like money at the head and like shrimps at the tail. Monkey-shrimps used to be cheap food served to not rich families. The local saying “One Monkey-shrimp serves three meals” well depicts such fact. The Monkey-shrimp eggs are hard but very delicious and are chosen as the optimal accompaniment to alcohol. |
